The songs don’t tell you that April in Paris can be overcast (and often rainy) resulting in dull, shadowless images. This photograph was taken on Pont Neuf with a Nikon D750 and a Nikkor 24-85 mm VR lens at 35 mm. The exposure was f/8 and 1/800 sec. The original flat and underexposed image was restored to a remembered state (with only a little hyper-realism) with various plug-ins, including a Topaz single-image HDR step. Image by Irwin H. Segel.
