The sun was already high in the sky when I took this shot. I placed my camera so as to catch a glimpse of the sun just peeking around the timber frame of this gallows style turntable. The camera placement along with an aperture setting of f/16 gave me the sunburst I was after. I processed the image in Lightroom, using the shadows slider to open up a little bit of detail on the dark timbers. Sometimes, as in this image, I prefer this little bit of detail over a full-on silhouette.
