A visit to the Netherlands brought me to the Keukanhof Gardens. The gardens are a marvel of color, texture and shapes in the form of tulips and other bulb varieties. I took this photo of bright red tulips with white tips in the bright sun. I underexposed the shot to emphasize the white edges. I converted it to black & white in Lightroom and was pleased with the outcome. Taking away the color emphasizes the white tips, which is exactly what I wanted to accomplish. Nikon D2Xs, 1/125 sec. at f/9, 24- 70mm lens at 40mm. ISO 200.
