The morning was overcast, with beautiful, diffused lighting, and plenty of egrets fishing in the marshes. It was a perfect time for reflection, both literally and figuratively. This was my favorite photo I had taken that day, where the great egret appears to be merging with its own reflection. I photographed this image with a Canon EOS 5DS, Canon EF 500mm F4L, Canon 1.4x extender, f/5.6, 1/2500 second, 320 ISO. I used Nik’s Viveza 2 software to adjust brightness on the egret.
