Richard Ferrieri shot this infrared photo of deer moss growing in the sand just off a hiking trail at the Jupiter, Florida Nature Preserve. This close-up photo was taken using an IR converted Olympus e-510 equipped with a Zuiko MKI 14-54mm lens at f/4, iso 100, and 1/350 sec exposure. To leverage backlighting he had to shoot this while lying on his belly.
