Sycamore Canyon is a special place for my husband and I. My husband, John, has been going to this place since he was a boy. His dad taught him to drive along this long, rough dirt road. It wasn't until shortly after we were married that he took me here and we 'discovered' these largely intact ruins high up on a cliff. At that time it still had it's thatched roof and pottery strewn along the floor. It truly gives a sense for how the Indians hunted as one can see for miles across the vast valley floor below. We still go back, as often as life will allow. We recently made a special trip to celebrate our 30th anniversary in this sacred and special place when we got this photo of the sun coming up over the horizon casting her light on these ruins doorways.
