Kayakers on Monterey Bay are surprised by a lunge feeding humpback whale. Whale watching in the Monterey area has been extraordinary due to an abundance of anchovies in the bay. On this day, the bait balls were very close to shore and the whales were feeding within 50 yards of the beach.
