After hiking the Superior shoreline in rain for most of the day, I saw a hopeful clearing along the horizon a short while before sunset. Standing in the continuing rain, I began setting up in hopes of improving conditions. The winds picked up and the rain stopped as the sun dipped below the horizon. I timed my shot with the clearing of waves which left reflections in the wet sand.
Taken with Fuji Velvia 50 ASA sheet film (4x5), Linhof Technikardan andNikon 150mm f/5.6 lens. Exposure determined with Lunapro light meter.Taken at f22, exposure values unrecorded.
