Marine AV-8B (Harrier) executes a vertical landing as the sun sets over Eastern North Carolina. I was trying to capture the one of a kind power and elegance of the Harrier as I was watching vertical landing practice. Once the sun set, I knew the colors would bring out the beauty of the aircraft. Canon 6D, canon 70-200 f4 at 200mm. f/5, 1/250s, iso 640.

Fantastic shot Kim. Great detail in the aircraft and sky, the engines exhaust thrust holding the aircraft steady for landing and the power of this aircraft looks to be incredible to be able to lift off and land vertically. You captured it perfectly and surely a wall and album print. Thanks.
