A photographer friend organized a group of his friends for a superb trip to Bend Oregon during October 2018. This image was taken at 7:53 am in Smith Rock Park, where I Dearly wanted to visit. It was before we could see the actual sun, but it truly was at sunrise, when we all went down the trail to set up our gear.
It was a Perfect morning - couldn't have been better. The water was very slow moving, so the reflections were very clear, and the light pouring off the rocks to the water was awesome.
I used a Panasonic Lumix GX8 at f/8, 1/640 sec, ISO 400, -1.3 steps, with a focal length of 13 mm, center weighted average.
It was worth every second of the 'getting up very early' to travel from Bend to this Park to enable getting this shot.
