The island church on Lake Bled is perhaps the most iconic symbol of Slovenia. I had photographed it a number of times but on our final morning in the area decided to try for a sunrise image. I was extremely fortunate to be able to position myself so that I could silhouette the church against the early light, with the streaks of sunlight adding a lot of visual interest to the image.
