On my first trip to Paris I was only there for an afternoon and evening in early November. I wanted to see as much of the city and its landscape as possible. It was windy and cold and light rain on and off all afternoon. I must have taken 300-400 shots, but this one stood out. Yes there are a lot of photos of the Eiffel Tower, but this one captures its essence as it stands out against the elements as it towers over the city of Paris in the background. I took it hand held with my Nikon D600 and AF-S Nikkor 24-120mm f/4G ED lens. The settings were ISO 100, 40mm, f/4 at 1/1600 sec.
