This is Balanced Rock, a well known formation in Arches National Park; there were heavy rain clouds approaching as I was photographing sunset and for a while it seemed the light would be flat, but a small area of clear sky along the horizon allowed the sun to strike the red rock and create amazing color against the clouds in the background.
