Being an amateur photographer, I was experimenting with long exposure night shots and decided to focus on the beer bottle (not mine ;-) in the lower left corner with the police cruzer off to the right side in the background - I also thought the "One Way" sign added a touch of sarcastic metaphor to this composition. The cruzer was stationary when I first took the shot and drove off after about 6 or 7 seconds, creating a light trail in the remaining 3-4 seconds (10 sec exposure total) giving this shot the contrast of still and motion.
Shot in West Palm Beach by Cary Quinn on 10/15/2013, 7:15 PM with Canon EOS 10D using 35-135mm lens (at 35mm).
Using Evaluative Metering with -2 stop exposure comp. at ISO 100. This was a 10 sec exposure at f5.0
