The interior of the library at St. Catherine’s Monastery in the Sinai, Egypt, was photographed through a thick protective acrylic window. The library is a repository of many ancient books and manuscripts. A Nikon D300 and a Nikkor 18-200 mm lens at 18 mm were used. The exposure was f/5.6 and 1/100 sec (ISO 3200).
