The photo shows a branch on my crabapple tree while it still contained early red buds along with the newly formed pink flowers. This yearly transition was captured in late March just as the sun illuminated part of the target branch. A Nikon D750 with a Tamron 90 mm macro lens was used at a distance of about 2.5 ft. The exposure was f/11 and 1/1250 sec.
