This is a photo from my photo series, "Spotted". The series is the documentation of the looks I would receive, as a foreigner, living in a smaller northern city in China. I was the first foreigner many of these people had ever seen in person. The constant stares, pictures, giggles, and pointing quickly grew tiresome. Photographing these people made leaving my home more pleasurable, and I made many new friends along the way.
