I was at Bosque Del Apache, New Mexico. Late in the afternoon the snow geese were coming back to the wildlife refuge after feeding all day. They were arriving in waves. I saw the possibility of catching the geese and moon together but was having trouble getting both in the same frame. Finally after many tries everything lined up. Shot with a Nikon D600 and Nikon 200-400mm f/4.0 lens. The lens was rented from borrowlenses.com. Shot at f/8.0, 1/2000 second hand held, ISO 1600.
