On a cold November afternoon walk near Tainter Lake in Wisconsin, snow fog was moving through portions of the woods. It was like walking in a mist of ice crystals at some points, but much to my surprise, no hoarfrost. The camera was protected with a clear plastic cover, and the tripod was so cold you needed gloves to adjust and touch it.
