I live in Southwest Michigan. This is a Great White Heron, these two things do not go together. Not sure how this Everglade dweller ended up on our little lake, but here he/she is. Serious birders have come from all over the country to get a glimpse of this oddity. Hoping that he/she knows when it is time to leave, and knows how to get back to its home base.
