I like the top access for quickies.
It has the chest strap but, an easy to attach waist strap would be good too. (But, most of the time, we don’t need one, except, when we REALLY need one.) Lowe Pro does an OK job with waste straps on some packs but, you have to loop it through a buckle on each side. Secure but tedious. A velcro lock and a loop or simple click buckle would be better.
It is a mystery to me why computer and camera bag companies do not co-brand with backpack makers to come up with a comfortable and well designed series from day packs, to approach, to overnight to multi day camera/gear backpacks.
A Case Logic Gregory series or a Lowe Pro Patagonia or Osprey Crumpler, etc.
Nothing focuses the design mind like backpacking for days with a badly designed backpack!
