The Shawl Dancer was taken at the Chiefs' Pow Wow on the Northern Cheyenne Reservation in Montana. The women's fancy shawl dance features spinning and jumping movements, and the dancer mimics a butterfly in flight. Slowing the shutter speed down enhances the impression of movement. The dancer was captured with a Nikon D600 with the 80-200mm lens at f/3.2 at 1/8 second.
