I was in Jerusalem's Old City in the early morning hoping to shoot some the shopkeepers as they opened their stalls. Exploring the narrow streets I happened upon this family of Ultra Orthodox Jewish males on their way to synagogue on the holy day of Shabbat. The setting, the imagery and the light conjured up a timeless scene that could have just as well taken place centuries ago. I used OnOne's Perfect Effects 4 BW software to convert the image to BW. Shot with a Canon 60D with Canon 17-85 lens set at 38mm, f8.0 at 1/60 sec, ISO 400.
