The Brins Mesa Fire. This fire burned 4,317 acres (17 km) on Brins Mesa, Wilson Mountain and in Oak Creek Canyon in June 2006. Fighting the fire cost an estimated $6,400,000. As a resident of Sedona at that time, I want to give a huge "Thank You" to all the amazing firefighters and support staff that fought this beast. You all did an amazing job.
