The Scott Monument in Edinburgh, Scotland. This image begged to be converted to B&W to truly be appreciated. Color would only mute the architectural details of this amazing work of art. When visiting Edinburgh with my wife last September, and seeing the Scott Monument, I believe it needed to be shot from beneath to illustrate it's size and presence. Simple composition. The composition doesn't need to be clever, because the beauty of the monument speaks for itself.
