Shooting out of the window of a car usually gives me bad images because of blur. I decided to take advantage of that and experiment with a slower speed and panning as we drove through Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. Panning left some of the trees relatively sharp with most of the limbs blurring. The image was taken with a Fuji F31fd camera I had converted to shoot in infrared. Between the whitened foliage from the IR and the blur of motion, it looks like the forest is ablaze. I sometimes convert my IR images to black and white but decided to leave this with the color as it was straight out of the camera since it enhanced the fire effect. Camera settings were 1/17s f/5.6 at 8.0mm iso100.
