I was hiking an open field out in Cades Cove at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park when this deer jumped up out of the tall grass and took off nest to be. He must of heard me coming and decided to try to get back up into the woods. I had my camera out because I was heading down to the creek to photograph some wild turkeys grazing around it. I panned with him as he went by and grabbed this shot.
