I used my Sony A290 camera with the Minolta/Sony AF 75-300 lens, F 5.6, 1/30, and ISO 400. My grandson was a Sophomore at the local high school and was the star running back for his team. He made a couple of touchdowns during this game, and the team ended up winning by several touchdowns. While everyone else is blurred, my grandson is more in focus than the other players and coaches. To get this effect, the camera was set to a slower speed, the camera was focused on him, and I moved the camera to follow him.
