Early one morning while driving through the Theodore Roosevelt National Park we came across a herd of horses. The mares and colts were in front of us on the road and in the ditch, while the stallion was in the ditch a ways off to the right. After we watched them a while the stallion came up behind them, laid back his ears,and herded his band past our vehicle and up the road behind us to the top of a bluff where they would probably spend the afternoon. it was a very exciting experience!
