Ring-billed Gulls often congregate around humans, at garbage dumps, parking lots, and freshly plowed fields. While the species is common on coastal beaches, particularly during winter, many Ring-billed Gulls lead inland lives, never setting eyes on the sea. Caption by The Cornell Lab. - This beautiful bird picture was taken in the Wildlife Sanctuary at Flamingo Gardens in Davie, Florida. He is a permanent resident due to injuries preventing him to be in the wild. - Volunteer photographer / www.flamingogardens.org
