This Redbellied Woodpecker was captured here on a 'perch' I set up next to our bird feeder off our back deck. I have a second setup out my bedroom window. Both place me about 12' from my subjects as they wait their turn at the feeders. Shot with my Canon 6D and a Tamron 500mm SP Bbar. The lens is fixed at f8.
