Driving through southern Colorado, I noticed that the sunset was preparing for a spectacular show...I parked along the side of the road then casually walking to the perfect spot. At first, I did not even know the moon was there, but as it emerged from behind the clouds, I began running to get this tree in the foreground and managed to capture this beautiful moment of the moonrise just as the sun was setting. This image was created with HDR FX pro 2 utilizing three individual exposures f/13 1/320s, 1/160s, 1/80s and iso640 with a Nikon D7000 24-70mm Nikor lens.
