This photo was taken at Eagle Summit, North of the City of Fairbanks on the way towards Circle, AK. This was the product of one of many Geomagnetic Storms that were present during the week of March 17-March 24, 2015.
Image was taken with a Canon 5D Mark III and a Rokinon 24mm lens. Shot at ISO 1600, f/1.4 and 2.5 second exposure time.
The Aurora Borealis can be seen frequently this far North when conditions are right.
