A train seems to be pulling at the dimly moonlit clouds as it speeds westward past a pond in Nelson Park near Abilene, Texas. I had just finished photographing the moon coming up over the pond when I heard this train approaching. With barely enough time re-frame the scene I captured this exposure just as the train arrived.
This image was taken with a Canon EOS 60d using a Canon 18-135mm f4-5.6 IS lens set at f/16, ISO 2500, 25mm, and a 10 second exposure. It has been cropped, leveled 2 degrees counterclockwise and the exposure lightened two stops in Adobe's PhotoShop.
