As this thunderstorm was bearing down on the Arizona plains, we observed a rider on horseback galloping full speed to reach a hill to the right of the frame. When he arrived, he dismounted, climbed the hill and chanted to the storm -- truly a magical moment. Canon EOS 20D; 1/1000 sec; f/10; ISO 400. Photoshop editing included sharpening, noise reduction and color adjustments to accommodate the low resolution from an early generation digital camera. This image was awarded an Honorable Mention by the Santa Fe Photographic Workshop in 2015.
