I visited a friend's garden intending to take pictures of bees. I got a few nice pictures of bees, but was pleasantly surprised by this mantis flitting around. I chased that creature all over the gardens trying to get some unique pictures. When he or she stopped to take a breather on a large shrub I got this shot. Picture was taken with a Nikon D800 with a Tamron 18-300mm macro lens cranked to the full 300mm f 9 @ 1/320th sec. ISO 200
