One of my friends invited me with her to go see the fireworks at the end of the Livonia Spree, my hometown's yearly festival to celebrate the founding of the city. After a few minutes of shooting just the fireworks, I decided to try and switch things up and include another element to the photo. I noticed her sitting on top of her car almost motionless and thought she would make a good subject for a shot of fireworks I've never seen before.

I shot this with a Nikon D5200 and 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 VR lens at 18mm, f/6.3, ISO 640, and an 8 second shutter speed. The lighting of her back comes from the on-camera flash and a little bit from my iPod.
