I caught this Painted Lady on a Tithonia flower in 2008. The orange and yellow of the flower matches the colors in the butterfly's wings. With a very shallow depth of field I was able to completely blur the foliage that was 3-4 feet behind it. Shot with a Nikon D70s and Nikkor 70-300mm lens at 285mm, f/4.8, 1/1250 sec, and ISO 800.
