The second oldest river in the world behind the Nile The old New River Bridge in Summerville West Virginia took 30 minutes to drive down into the gorge and back up for many years. It has been replaced by one of the tallest steel arch structures in the world. In the fall base jumpers come from near and far to jump off the new bridge.
