There's a place in Alaska everyone should visit -- Hatcher Pass Lodge, located outside of Palmer, in Talkeetna Mountains. It doesn't have grizzlies or moose. It's difficult to get to, especially in winter. The place is run by a funny, wise, eccentric man everyone refers to as "Happy" or "Hap" for short.
The old house in the photos is two minutes away from the lodge. I was told it's been there for years. No one knows whom it belongs to or what's inside. But nearly every lodge visitor comes to say hello to it and snap a photo.
