Enkindled by the works of Johannesson Vermeer on domestic interior of middle class life, I headed to the Old Bedford Village in Pennsylvania to capture living history in this time trapped village. I custom built a flash in a lantern to blend seamlessly with the different 21st century homes. I learned a lot about this old town and loved that the re-enactors also shared their real life stories.
Dave is a marine and now a reenactor in the Old Bedford village. He taught us the difference between a Whitesmith and a Blacksmith and a good coal from a bad one.
I thank him for his service to this country.
