While on a photography club outing to the newly opened oculus (a multi billion dollar train station built to replace the station destroyed on 9/11) we happened upon the rebuilt Fulton Street subway station mezzanine. Like the oculus it offered many photography opportunities. I was particularly attracted to the roof consisting of concentric circles and grids. I used a Canon 5D Mark III with a Rokinon 14 mm f/2.8 IFED MC lens mounted on a Fiesol tripod fitted with a Acratech ball head. This was an HDR image shot at +/- 1 and 2 stops at ISO 1600. The image was post processed in Photoshop, to among other adjustments, apply Nik HDR Efx Pro plug in as well as Topaz Denoise and Adjust plug ins. The sky in the center was added from my stock collection as a replacement for the overcast sky.
