This image was captured with a Canon 5D Mark III on August 25 20148 18000 sec. @ f/6.3 ISO 3200 backlit by the sunrise peeking over the tree's at Peekskills Annesville Creek. My intention was to experiment/practice with natural backlighting because it has ruined more pictures than I care to mention and this is what I came away with. Northeastern Great Egret taking a morning sip.
