This is a common Mule Deer. There were a group of three along the highway as we were returning from Cody, Wyoming. These deer congregate around greener fields and the edge of the highway where the grasses are still green when as the temperatures cool. They are very sensitive to moving objects so I had to be quick because as soon as we pulled off to the side of the road they began to sprint away.
