I made this image last June at my favorite local Park, Stone Mountain Park, in Atlanta. I went for hike up the side of the mountain with the intension to come away with some great images because the clouds were shaping up very nice and it was nearing sunset. I spent a great deal of time working this subject from all kind of angles an perspectives. This one did it for me. The Sun seem to come through just right as the clouds gave a nice opening right above. I thought that it would be a color image because of the beautiful light that was displayed but I think black and white made the image really pop.
