On a whim, I decided to check out the small, lesser known Fishercap Lake up the Swiftcurrent Pass Trail in Glacier National Park. I sat alone watching a mother and her calf feeding on aquatic vegetation for nearly an hour. My patience paid off as the pair gradually made their way closer and closer to me and finally made their way into the full morning sun. Swiftcurrent Pass in the background was icing on the cake. This trip was my first experience with a camera other than the one on a phone so my mode was set to Auto.
