After an unusually wet summer my front yard hosted a bumper crop of spiders and webs this September. I spent several days shooting them. I would go early in the morning to catch the first rays of the sun and watch as the spiders spun a new web each morning. I was fascinated by the way the tiny spiders swung from one filament to another grabbing a strand and connecting a new thread to it. These are not your scary, spooky Halloween spider webs, but rather delicate, elegant, and artistic examples of consummate craftsmanship. Cannon EOS Rebel T3i, F5.6, 1/320, ISO 800, 210mm, EF-S 75-300
