It was pretty much a cloudless morning and I was originally set up to shoot the sunrise in New Found Gap. Once I noticed their was no clouds I decided to move to the Morton Overlook. Usually when the sun rises and their are no clouds to bounce the light, you can catch a little color looking away from the sun. As soon as I got to the Morton Overlook I saw the band of color I was looking for I also got a little bit of fog as an added bonus.
