There's something to be said about a lack of inspiration. I had no idea what to expect from an excursion to the South Coyote Buttes area. I tend to avoid the kind of research that leads me to photo websites of locations I plan to visit for fear of influencing my photography. So, other than some general directions, I went into this area blind. After the photography, I felt uninspired by the images I had taken. I'm sure others have experienced this too, but when I began to review and process that day's shots, I was pleasantly surprised. Captured with a Canon 5DMKIII, 16-35 lens, steadied on a Really Right Stuff tripod.
