The Meteora region of Greece consists of towering conglomerate spires on which centuries old Orthodox Monasteries are perched. Only a few remain in use today after the majority were destroyed by bombing during World War II. This shot was taken from the steps of the shuttle-bus just as I was planning to leave. Sometimes it takes lots of prep and other times an unexpected and spectacular scene comes as a surprise.
